THIS IS A TABLE OR A TEMPLATE:
Free Bookmark Tips From Maxine: I use the Printmaster Platnium Program by Broderbund, you can buy it online or go to Best Buy, it is approx. a $40 program. It is an all purpose program that I use and love for making my business cards, bookmarks, labels, brochures & more, the best buy for your money as far as programs out there, tons of clip art, easy to use. I use the "brochure" to typeset bookmarks that allows for front and back text. Use the insert size dimensions on the vinyl bookmark sleeves page as a guide depending on what size bookmarks you want, I recommend the HBM1 or HBM4 as easiest to typeset: http://www.craftercity.com/VINYL_BOOKMARK_SLEEVES.htm If you are good with tables, try Micro Soft Word which is fine too. For Printmaster: Select the brochure as your new project. Use the line tool to make a slicing template across and down for each bookmark, allowing for text and photos to be inserted. Place the lines where you want them to be sliced leaving a margin for slicing around your text. Insert your text and photo images or clipart into the first column, when you are happy with the placement, copy and paste into the next columns. Print to test that they are lined up where you want them to be sliced, save the document as your "template", then copy and paste the template into a new document, save as your bookmarkers and remove the slicing guide lines from the document so that you do not have to deal with lines on your bookmarks, print and place the slicing guide on top of your stack of bookmarks. I recommend medium weight cardstock, which is available at Office Depot or Office Max that passes through your printer with ease. If you have a slicer at home you may need to print several, but you can take a ream of up to 250 sheets to Kinkos and for approx. $1.50 a slice they will use the top copy as the guide and you will have straight clean edges on all of your bookmarks. It may cost approx. $10 but worth every slice for a professional looking bookmark. Insert the bookmarks into the vinyl sleeves and add a tassel for a bookstore rack looking bookmark! Save when you buy 100 vinyl sleeves & 100 tassels @ http://www.craftercity.com/TASSELMART.htm Have fun crafting, Maxine ;0) COPYRIGHT 2004 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED NO AFFILIATION WITH KINKO'S, MICROSOFT WORD OR BRODERBUND. |
